Freya (pictured) is a very dedicated student of Dance 107 and has shown it very well!
She has managed to get into the splits on both legs due to her consistent training both in street dance class and at home. We are very persistent with our weekly training, and encourage all of our members to practice at home in order to achieve the best of their ability. Freya has been outstanding in raising her standards, working hard at home and in class, to increase her flexibility and performance skills.
Freya says: “I love everything about our dance group, I couldn’t imagine not dancing with my lovely group. It makes me so happy to dance weekly. Dance group is AWESOME!”
This motivation to strive for accuracy whilst training and performing also really helps to encourage other students in the dance class. It is our main aim to encourage our members and to fill them with a greater confidence whilst they are dancing and performing.
To teach dance technique, we focus on each individual student’s strengths, and use them to their advantage. During one-to-one attention, we also help each member to improve their technique and flexibility. We give advice to the members about how to stretch and train without sustaining injury, we praise them where we can. We, as a group, believe that praise is the best way to help encourage students and fill them with confidence.
We like to give every member of the dance 107 group equal opportunities in the form of performing at different events and venues, as well as holding shows within the group. Dance107 has already performed during an event raising funds for Autism Flintshire, as well as at Saltney Social Tavern to help raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. These types of activities allow the members to become involved with their dancing, and use it to help others, as well as have fun and gain experience!

Everyone has potential, and everyone can reach their goal!
